Internet Explorer unable to execute JavaScript
Sometime you can not recall what you have done to your PC and suddenly your Internet Explorer can not execute JavaScript. It is annoying, isn’t it?
Why don’t you try one of these method… try one by one from the easiest..
- Clean up “temporary internet files” folder.
Then try your browser. If it still refuse to run the JavaScript, then try the next method. - Reinstall Windows Scripting by executing scripten.exe available from Microsoft site.
If this also still fail, try the next: - Unreg and Register these dll’s:
Go to Start/Run and type:
- "regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll"
- "regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll"
- "regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll"
- "regsvr32 Mshtml.dll"
- "regsvr32 Urlmon.dll"
- "SFC /SCANNOW" (you may need to press ‘r’ for retry many times)
- Restart IE then "regsvr32 Shell32.dll"
If this also still fail, no choice but you have to do this:
- Uninstall-Reinstall IE…
Most of the time the previous 3 will work…so I think I will write down about reinstalling Internet Explorer later.
